BNP Paribas Asset Management awarded top PRI score for fourth consecutive year
A+ score reflects excellence in ESG research and implementation
BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has been awarded the top A+ score for its global approach to responsible investing, underscoring the level of excellence of the company’s expertise in terms of research, transparency and the application of environment, social and governance (ESG) criteria in almost all of its mutual funds.
Integration of ESG criteria: a key issue for many investors
The annual assessment by the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) of each of the 1 800 signatory companies enables investors to identify those asset managers with the strongest approach to responsible investment.
A PRI signatory since 2006, BNPP AM has implemented its own responsible investment policy since 2012 and applies ESG criteria to almost all funds, in addition to its dedicated SRI funds.
The PRI initiative, backed by the United Nations, cooperates with an international network of signatories to implement the six Principles for Responsible Investment.
It aims to identify the links between investment and environmental, social and governance issues, and to help signatories incorporate these issues into their investment and ownership decisions.
The six Principles were designed by investors for investors, bringing together signatories from more than 50 countries, representing USD 70 trillion of assets.
